Legacy of FIBO
This project is the a collaboration research and development among Hard Disk Drive company , University (FIBO/KMUTT), NECTEC, and 4 Thai SMEs under the name Thai-Alliance to develop and construct a prototype of automation line for manufacturing of HSA. In addition, this project aims to transfer and exchange the knowledge about high precision assembly technology of Hard Disk Drive to Thailand University and SME. This will encourage Thai Industrial companies to involve in technology development for Hard Disk Drive industrial and increase the capability of Thai researchers and developer to support this kind of industry.
All parties collaborate according to the diagram in Figure Hard Disk Drive company support requirement, equipment, and equipment budget for machine development while NECTEC provides operation budget of the development. FIBO and University provide facility and researcher to help the engineers from SMEs to design and fabricate the machines. During development, also supports, reviews, and gives the instruction to build machines which pass the clean room and ESD specification for HSA manufacturing.
