An Unmanned, Autonomous Robot for Land Surface Preparation in Salt-farming could smoothen the clay surface in the salt farm fields by moving along the coverage path generated beforehand. This autonomous robot was also converted to use electric power instead of hydrocarbon fuel, which can save costs, eliminate fuel leaks into the fields, and help preserve the environment (Zero Carbon).

The robot has been developed by Mr. Norawit Nangsue, together with Assoc. Prof. Dr.Djitt Laowattana, Dr.Prakankiat Youngkong and Asst. Prof. Dr.Thavida Maneewarn as his research advisors.
The research was funded by the Agricultural Research Development Agency (Public Organization).
The robot is beneficial for salt farmers in Thailand to help reduce fuel and labor costs.
