Abstract
Disabled people with leg disabilities in Thailand must have the opportunity to use prostheses that have been developed with modern technology. Thus, they will be able to live their lives more conveniently. Institute of Field Robotics (FIBO) collaborated with agencies consisting of National Electronics and Computer Technology Center (NECTEC), Sirindhorn National Medical Rehabilitation Center Institute, Prostheses Foundation of Her Royal Highness Princess Mother, to work with the royal initiative project for the advancement of prostatic limbs.
FIBO is responsible for research, design, construction, testing of the above-knee prosthesis. The goal of this project is:
- Prototypes of variable-damping prosthetics that can be adjusted by hands
- Prototypes of variable-damping prosthetics that can be adjusted by using wireless devices
- Prototypes of variable-damping prosthetics that can be adjusted by oneself
