Surveying the canal depth

This project is collaboration between Hydro and Agro Informatics Institute (HAII), Department of Science Service (DSS) and Institute of Field Robotics (FIBO) for surveying the canal depth. This information will support Flood Relief Operation Center (FROC) for flood management such as dredging canals for draining.

Due to flooding in 2012, it causes to project for Surveying the depth of canal in Bangkok and perimeter. The information will allow the plan to dredge many canals for flood drainage. The system was used to collect the position of the boats by GPS and the canal depth by echo sounder. Finally, these data were recorded on the map and processed for useful information.
