Abstract

Nowadays, touch screen technology is widely accessible. As users can use the device conveniently without having to rely on any additional equipment, just using a finger to touch. Thus, the researcher decided to study multi-touch detection. This research will propose a technique using the vision system and image processing techniques for multi-finger detection to detect the touch position and increase coordination between humans and machines. The use of touch screen technology or touch systems today has few limitations in detecting touch positions. There is also the high cost of building a large touch screen. This research, therefore, presents the use of vision and image processing systems for multi-point touch detection with inexpensive materials being assembled into a multi-touch table to increase the efficiency of the computer for the users.
