FIBO Technovation Demonstrates Cutting-edge Robotics and Sensor Technologies at the Thailand Mine Action Center (TMAC)
It is an honor and a great pride that FIBO Technovation, Academic Service Division of the Institute of Field Robotics (FIBO), King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT), was invited by the Signal Department, Royal Thai Army, to join a discussion and demonstrate intelligent robotic technologies for mine detection and disposal missions.
The team was warmly welcomed by Gen. Saksit Saengchanin, Director of the Thailand Mine Action Center (TMAC).
FIBO Technovation proudly showcased three innovative robotic prototypes designed for mine detection and disposal:
✅ Quadruped Robot with Thermal Camera – Accurately inspects hazardous areas.
✅ Mine Disposal Robot – Equipped with a steel roller for safe neutralization operations.
✅ GPR Towing Robot – Detects underground explosives using ground-penetrating radar (GPR).
These technologies are developed to protect lives and reduce operational risks for field operators.
🚀 Vision and Next Steps
FIBO Technovation will continue research and development to further enhance these robots, adapting them to Thailand’s unique environments and mission requirements. The focus will be on improving efficiency, durability, accuracy, and user-friendliness.
Special thanks to our partners — Systronics Co., Ltd. and the Department of Science Service (DSS) — for their collaboration and support in this demonstration.
