Abstract

Currently, touch screen technology is becoming increasingly widespread as it offers users a more convenient and natural way to interact with devices and perform tasks, requiring only finger touches without additional equipment. This convenience has spurred research in multi-touch detection. This research introduces a technique for detecting multiple finger touches using a vision system and image processing to determine touch locations. The goal is to enhance human-computer interaction capabilities.

Current touch screen or touch-sensitive systems have limitations in detecting multiple touch points and the cost of building large touch screens is high. This research, therefore, proposes using a vision system and image processing to detect multiple touch points. It also utilizes cost-effective materials and equipment to construct a multi-touch table, thereby improving user efficiency when interacting with computers.
