Robotics and Automation (FRA)

Field Robotics Institute (FIBO), King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT)
The Field Robotics Institute (FIBO) at King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT) is Thailand’s first institute dedicated to teaching, research, and development in Robotics and Automation. With over 20 years of experience, FIBO is committed to developing skilled individuals and creating new technologies in robotics and automation to meet the country’s needs.
Currently, Thailand has a high demand for robots and automation systems across various industrial sectors, as well as for the application of robotics technology in Thai society. This demand is further highlighted by Thailand’s Robotics and Automation Development Strategy (2008-2012) and the Ministry of Science and Technology’s study on personnel and technology needs in Robotics and Automation (2014). These reports conclude that Thailand requires a significant number of engineers, researchers, and experts in robotics and automation to enhance the nation’s knowledge and technological capabilities.
Recognizing this critical need, the Field Robotics Institute launched its graduate programs in Robotics and Automation, offering a Master’s degree since 2003 and a Doctoral degree since 2009. Details for each program are provided below:
